The party approached Feathergale Spire and were quickly spotted by patrolling Hippogriff riders. When they arrived at The Spire, the drawbridge was open and they were greeted by a young rider. The rider turned out to be Savra Belabranta, a friend of Geth Stormwind. They had not seen each other in years and quickly slipped into comparing notes about how they each had ended up at Feathergale Spire and what adventures they had had in between.
Geth noted immediately that Savra’s eyes were no longer brown, as they had been when he knew her, but were a bright blue. This troubled him enough to comment upon it to his brother Malcor. Malcor surreptitiously cast detect magic and ascertained that Savra was under some kind of enchantment, which appeared to centre on a particular brooch of an eagle Savra was wearing.
Savra led the party to the roof of the tower where they met Thurl Melosska, a human knight in his fifties, who introduced himself as the Lord Commander of the Knights of the Feathergale Society. The Society, he said, was made up of members of the privileged from Waterdeep with a common interest in riding flying mounts such as the Hippogriff. The Commander invited the party to a feast that evening and bade them welcome, having Savra assign them rooms in the upper levels of the tower as befitting a knight or noble.
